Madrona Park is a great, clean place, and the food is great. The staff is friendly, and when Mother needs somebody to come, they come within a reasonable amount of time. They have cocktail hour on Friday and movies. She is comfortable there.

Staff gets high marks from residents, families & visitors for friendly, courteous service.
Activities and events run the gamut from educational lectures, discussion groups and chef demonstrations to Friday Happy Hour, musical entertainment and Texas Hold ‘Em Poker and everything in between.
Crossroads Retirement Center is not only a beautiful facility, but ideally located in Bellevue and easy to get to. I visited on a day when it was raining quite hard and as soon as I walked through the door, two staff members were there to help me with my coat and a towel to dry off; I forgot my umbrella, so I was soaked. As always the staff was excellent.
I found my way to my resident; she told me she had just got back from the drug store. Crossroads Retirement Center offers a shuttle to take their residents shopping, and she said she and a couple of her friends had been taking walks to one of the local parks. It is nice seeing her keep an active lifestyle, I like that she has safe travels to and from.
We sat in the dining room, and it is very pleasant, there were a few others doing the same. A set of gentlemen was off in the corner laughing. I had a bowl of soup and cup of tea. It was good as always, I have eaten a few times and never disappointed. My resident resides in one bedroom; it is the perfect size for her and comes with a full kitchen and good sized bathroom. Crossroads have done a good job with their apartments. Her apartment equipped with an emergency system for added safety. A great feature and a must for peace of mind.
She also loves that she doesn’t have to do laundry, as there is a full laundry facility on site. She does on occasion use the weekly housekeeping; this was great while she recovered from her knee surgery.
The combination of excellent staff, quality apartments, community feel and all the fun activities she absolutely loves, gives her the chance to live a productive life, filled with activities and fun and me peace of mind that she is safe.
I truly enjoy visiting my resident and getting to see everyone, sometimes it takes a minute to get all the hugs and stories they have to tell me but I enjoy each and every visit and staff member.
My grandmother has lived here for a few years and the staff really goes out of their way to care for not only her needs to but help out the family. I live in CA so when something needs to be done, they are happy to run up, drop off, or pick up. I appreciate it so much!
Washington Oaks is a wonderfully-run lovely home for its residents. Every staff member I have met appears genuinely happy with their work, are kind and professional, provide warm service-with-a-smile to the residents and credit it all to their Manager. Tad, as he is called by all, is the quintessential professional greeting residents with a smile, addressing each person by his/her name and is sincerely concerned about their welfare and happiness. His high standards and style of management are reflected in every area of the facility from its upkeep and appearance, dining room and food service, special events and weekly activities to the wellbeing of the residents and staff. I would wholeheartedly recommend Washington Oaks to anyone seeking assisted living or retirement living where they can feel and be at home and thrive.
Everytime you walk thru the door at Washington Oakes you are greeted with a smile. All of the employees are warm, caring and truly have a passion for the industry.
The environment is warm and inviting and the food is exceptional with a wide variety to chose from. You can order breakfast for dinner if your heart desires or get a fantastic Monte Cristo sandwich, fresh fish or salad.
The residents are able to enjoy a vast array of activities and ameneties throughout.
Eveyone from the General Manager to the housekeeping staff strive to make the community the best home for the residents.
As a placement specialist, I've had many families chose Washington Oakes when they orginally were looking in other areas because the people are fantastic!
The staff are incredibly kind and make each visitor and resident feel special. They take the time to get to know each resident and work hard to ensure they have a wonderful quality of life. A wide variety of activities await both within the community and off site. The food is great and there is a wide selection to chose from.
I have brought several new residents to the community both as respite stays and permanant residents. All individuals and their families have been extremely happy. As one woman said "There is nothing not to like about Fairwinds Brighton Court."
We toured several buildings when looking my grandfather-in-law's new home. Van Mall stood out for several reasons, not the least being the warm atmosphere. It was the ONE community that was respectful of our resistence to the "hard sell" and gave us the space to both breathe and think before making this big decision. This was greatly appreciated during a very stressful time. Bad timing saw that we had to move in late on New Year's Eve, in a rainstorm, with a semi truck that blocked the employee parking lot. Still, we were met with warm smiles and helping hands.
From the day we moved my grandfather-in-law in to Van Mall, until the he had to move (due to needing 24 hour nursing care), we were made to feel as if his well being was their biggest concern. We will always be grateful.
My friend lives at Washington Oaks and from the multiple times that I've visited and socialized with her at the regular events that they host, I've noticed that this place is more than just a safe environment to the members of the community, it's a home. The patience and enthusiasm that so-easily comes to their staff is surely what brings all of these vastly different people together as one community. The people that I've been introduced to thus far that live in the building were welcoming and also seemed to be having a great time at the events and the many different activities that they hosted. Over-all the place has a very comfortable atmosphere from the well-maintained grounds to the cozy design of their rooms. I had the pleasure of meeting Tad, a long-time manager there, and was blown away by the loyalty and respect that he had for the residents that stay there. This isn't the cheapest place to stay but for the quality of care, dining, and luxuries that are available daily to their residents I would consider there prices a steal! I'm very grateful to this community and their devoted staff for the dedication they have to making each of their residents feel like this is not just a home, but their home.
Washington Oakes in Everett WA is a very nice place and definitely a great place for seniors to live. I was there visiting a friend, Betty, and I was shown all around the place and also had lunch there too. Their food staff was definitely helpful and the food was great. When I toured the place I was surprised with the accomodations how spacious they are and the staff that we ran into while I was taking the tour was very gracious and helpful. The price is great too and safe. The location of the place is nice too and not too far from places. I am definitely thinking of Washington Oakes when I am ready to move into a senior place and will definitely give Washington Oakes name to my friends that are looking for a place now and in the future
This community is exceptionally a warm and friendly community. You walk thru the front door and immediately feel like you are in the living room of your own home. Not a big arena where one might feel a bit overwhelmed and cold. Just warm and fuzzy. You are greeted with smiles and someone insisting on helping or directing you whereever you need to go. The community was very clean and going to the bathroom was not a bad experience, but a good one. Everything was clean and the amenitites always seemed close by. Experiencing meals there was one of my favorite, home cooking and restaurant quality all in one bite! Even better you dont have to worry about preparation, shopping or doing the dishes. Also, I enjoyed being able to have coffee and something sweet at anytime. The staff there is professional and very knowledgeable in the care of the elderly. I felt a sense of peace knowing that my friend would be taken care of and her needs met. Also knowing there is a RN and certified nursing assistants there around the clock made me at ease. They have activities that seem to fit just about anyone's preference and outings that have been enjoyed by my friend and myself. If I was older, I would move in tomorrow! Thank you.
This community is a fun community to be a part of for anyone who likes to be active. The staff are almost all long term and there is a consistency that you don't often see at other communities. There is a wonderful community feel, the facilities are very nice, and the location is great for people who like to walk and be active.
Washington Oaks is a very friendly facility with a delightful staff. All of the staff know every name of each resident as well as their extended families. It is comforting to know there are always people around to help our loved ones 24/7. The nurses and caregivers always give prompt, caring attention to the resident in need. The buildings are kept updated, furnished beautifully, well maintained and always clean and fresh. The meals are healthy and flavorful with different choices each meal. Great and courteous wait staff! It is always a pleasure to go visit family at WA OAKS, and often I talk with other residents who I may or may not know.
This senior community was a giant success the day it opened, and it continues to be a gem for the Woodinville community. Just walk inside the doors and you're greeted with happy residents and attentive staff. Everything here is of quality!
Love living here. Manager and staff are great. There is never a time when you need them, via bell or ask. The people that live here and your neighbors are just as good, if not the problems are resolved in a very courteous manner. My husband has the same feeling. My daughter who handles all our financial affairs wants to move in but she is not old enough. The food is great and if there is a complaint from yourself or others the food committee and chefs try to take care of the problem as soon as they can. A new idea is considered, but not always able to be expedited.
Thanks for our opportunity to give our chance to let you know our feelings
Lovely physical plant from the lobby to the dining room and apartments - community spaces invite residents, family members and visitors to sit, chat and enjoy. Their unique specialty programs make a positive difference in the lives of residents. The PrimeFit program at this community is led by trained, skilled staff - residents have access to the well-equipped gym, pool and personal trainer. The PrimeFit Brain Fitness program is innovative and enjoyed by residents. The dining experience is relaxed in atmosphere and enjoyable in presentation and taste. Activities are varied including special events on site and outside trips to local theaters, schools and other interesting destinations. All in all the physical environment coupled with the unique programs and services create a positive resident living experience. All communities need to have in place protocols for handling emergencies of all types. When considering this community ask for examples of how they have handled emergencies.
Brittany Park is located in down town Woodinville off the main street in a nicely landscaped area. The community is furnished well and upscale with a very nice lobby, bistro, wine bar etc. Have some long term staff....some have been there since they opened. Dining room is very pleasant and food is good. They have an active population along with some who need care as well...have activities that suit both. The community is well run and I would place a parent there.
Lovely community in good location, updated lobby and apartments, always is clean and nicely decorated. Lot's of activites to choose from with active residents. Staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are quiet and serene. Food is consistant and they have choices. Nice bistro in lobby. Nurse and care giver staff are attentive and do a good job. Would place a parent.
When looking for retirement and assisted living community for our parents several years ago my sisters visited over a dozen different communities before choosing Van Mall. While a beautiful community it was not the newest but sure is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The apartments are large, and the food is great. Most important for us was that they could live together still in a large two bedroom apartment while getting outstanding assisted living care.
Every year they just get better and better and the great thing is that most of the staff have worked there for more than five years.
We highly recommend you check them out. Mom and Dad love it there.
The quality of care my parents receive gives me great comfort as I live 1200 miles away and can only come to visit a couple of times a year. My parent's health has improved tremendously since they moved into Washington Oakes. They have made new friends and keep very busy. When I call they are often in the middle of a pinnacle game with other residents. I just got off the phone with my mom who said she was excited about their monthly excursion to a local casino.
My parents have the services they need while maintaining an independent life. The staff are responsive to questions and do not hesitate to call to talk with me about care options for my parents. They are my eyes and ears. What I like best about the staff is they take the time to listen to my parents and to understand what services and support they need. They also work with me to make sure I am aware of any changes in their health so that together with my parents we can plan the best support options.
My parents have struggled with health issues for years and I have worried about their well being. They are now in a safe, caring environment. They and I could not be more pleased with the services and support. I sleep better at night knowing that others have joined my efforts to ensure that my parents can live their lives in the comfort of their own home while getting the help they need for those parts of their lives they can no longer manage.
I highly recommend Washington Oakes, the staff are my extended family and together we ensure the quality of life my parents deserve.
Updated, lovely, spacious indepedent and assisted living community, with very nice apartments. Great location close to the heart of Lynnwood and quick, easy access to highway 99, yet surrounded by lovely grounds providing a sense of serenity. Tons of activities inside the community and out. Friendly, active, happy, vibrant residents.
BEAUTIFUL, updated, amazing independent and assisted living community. Gorgeous apartments. Lovely pool and gym. Active, friendly, happy residents and warm, energetic, caring staff. Tons of activities to choose from, inside and outside the community. DELICIOUS food and dining experience.
Washington Oakes has an amazing staff! They are the reason that the community is so successful. It's attraction is the lively hood in their four walls. Being greeted at the front desk with a welcoming smile a sincere inquiry with why I was there. A very thorough tour of the community and meeting staff. Each staff member took the time to ask me how I was doing, and listening, not listening past me. I never felt like anyone had the "car salesman" on being pushy. What I was most impressed with was their ability to keep the residents active and interested in so many ways. There is music, game time, lectures, exercise etc., how do they do it? I felt great going to visit this location and have them in the runnings for making the move for my parents.
I have lunch with my father almost every day at Washington Oakes. It is simply the best place for him to be. Almost all the residents I have had the pleasure to lunch with while visiting my father, have come from other retirement homes; they all stop searching, without acception, when they find the Washington Oakes. Thank you Tad, Al and especially the cooks" your meals and daily home made soups and COOKIES!!" and staff for making Washington Oakes the great place it is. The entire staffs genuine, kind, loving, care is what reinforces my conviction that my father is living at the very best place he can call home. Thank you, you guys are the best!
Looking for a place for Mom was my first experience with checking out assisted living communities in the Vancouver area. After visiting a number of them we returned to Van Mall a second and then a third time because we were so impressed by how much more comfortable it felt overall than the other communities we visited.
What has struck me most since Mom moved in nearly five years ago is that many of the staff have been there longer than Mom, which says to me they are not only good to the residents but they are good to their staff as well. Happy caregivers mean a happy Mom!!
Living out of town makes it difficult to help care for a loved one, but knowing the support and loving care everyone at Van Mall provides to my mother allows me the comfort of knowing she is safe and happy.
