My sister is currently living at The Laurels and The Haven in Stone Oak. It's been very good and homey. She receives the therapy that she needs there, and the food is good. She needs a certain level of assistance, and they're able to provide that for her, so it's a pretty good fit. The rooms and apartments are very nice and spacious. She plays bingo a couple of afternoons a week, and they have a fitness club, a walking club, different church services, a therapy room and exercise, field trips, movies, and book club. They have lots of different activities to keep the residents engaged with each other. There was a little staffing incident.
The Forum at Park Lane is a large facility. It's maintain nicely but, some of the furniture could be replaced. Residents rooms are a nice size and open. There's a fair amount of storage. The bathrooms have hand rails to assist residents and towel racks and storage for organization. Chandelier lighting and tables set for dining make the dining area feel nice and grand. The food is wonderful and accommodating for those with special diets. The staff is professional and caring. Their always available and willing to help you even when their busy. The activities and amenities include exercise, games, outings and live entertainment.
The Forum at Lincoln Heights is a beautiful facility with some of the most stunning property grounds. This facility features plenty of scenic walking trails to allow residents to enjoy the outdoors. Other amenities include a large well stocked library and an outdoor pool and cabana area. The Forum at Lincoln Heights is a very nice facility, one that is very modern with great updates. The best part of this facility is its grounds.
Nice facility at an affordable cost. This facility is located in a very relaxed area with moderate traffic. The facility serves both assisted and independent living residents. I visited this property while being a sitter for one of the residents. The facility is decent for the price, and provides adequate care.
Upon entering this facility during normal business hours, I was greeted by a staff member who asked me if I needed assistance. This was a caregiver who was assisting a resident with ambulation. There was no receptionist available at that time. I noticed that a few of the staff seemed to be unfriendly. There were, however, a few workers who greeted me, and returned a smile.
The facility was clean and free of odors. There was a puppy in someone’s quarters making noises that were only heard when the resident opened her door. Otherwise, the facility was fairly quiet and peaceful. The floorplan was functional and structured in a manner that offered enough room for residents to move about without bumping furniture or slipping on items. There were adequate safety bars throughout the facility and seating areas throughout. One resident who was using her walker and walking alongside me decided to sit down and rest during her walk.
The food was good, and there was some variety. The lasagna was very good, and most of the residents seemed to enjoy it. There was one resident who had a family member with her during mealtime. The facility is family friendly and welcomes visitors.
Activities are a main event at Heritage Place and consists of on site and off site activities. Many residents at this facility are independent, while others require some assistance. The resident are friendly and helpful towards each other, and they treat one another like family. A few of the residents were really upbeat and spoke to the other residents who were entering the dining facility. This is a small retirement community, and it is very easy to meet people and develop an extended family. A beauty salon, therapeutic services, laundry services, and activities are all available on site.
Five Star Primier Residences of Dallas is a truly amazing place. The facility is very clean and well decorated. The staff helps make the experience better. They have many different types of activities set up, so that residents time can be occupied. They have a Chapel and religious activities available. This puts this facility on a high pedisstol, for me. A big plus for me is that the rooms have washer and dryers. That makes it very convenient. This is a wonderful place to live. Schedule a tour today.
This facility is clean and in very good condition, offers assisted living, independent living,as well as an on-site skilled nursing unit for those requiring medical care and rehabilitation. I have heard many compliments about the food, including the quality and variety of the meals that are offered. There are a number of amenities including a beauty shop, fitness center, and concierge. Overall it feels more like a luxury apartment complex than a facility, while at the same time offering a high quality of care to those who need it. They have well equipped bathrooms with built-in seats in some and grab bars installed, a call light system, and nursing staff available if necessary. All of the apartments that I have seen were very nice, spacious, and up-to-date with granite counter tops, new appliances, and plush carpet and/or hardwood flooring. Very nice place to call home!
The employees here do not seem to really care for what they do. It's like they're physically there, but their minds are somewhere else. I had been previously and it didn't seem as bad as this particular time. The place is not kept up very well at all. I saw residents sitting bored, they said activities weren't what they use to be. This place was once a very upbeat environment, but now its going downhill.
The Laurels and the Haven in Stone Oak is a very lovely community. It’s staffed with friendly people who seem to enjoy what they do. I visited this community and was pleasantly surprised at the layout. The layout is very relaxed, yet conducive to independent living. Everything was clean and all of the residents seemed satisfied. The residents were finishing up a dance type activity and they were really enthused about the next session!
There are many extras here at The Gardens of Bellaire. Located in Bellaire, Texas, a suburb of Houston, this facility is full of comfort and serenity. The place feels like an extension of home, and upon entering the facility, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, and captivated by a clean, well maintained entryway.
The location here is perfect because it is in close proximity to everything. Banks, Jason's Deli, shops, and a medical facility are some of the business nearby. However, this is a busy area so caution should be utilized when walking to local shops. There are some facilities located across the highway and will require transportation. Transportation is provided at an extra cost to the residents. There are many extras here, and the extras are an added cost. Furthermore, the facility is in the upper moderate price range. Nevertheless, I feel that the extras are worth the cost. This is a community that provides upscale living in a home like environment. Skilled nursing, rehabilitative measures, and physical therapy or some of the healthcare amenities provided here; however, in spite of its strong medical presence, this facility does not feel like a hospital. This is a safe place to call home.
The food here was fabulous. I had a chicken dinner and dessert. Dinner was a social environment for residents. I saw groups of residents conversing with one another, and the staff was very interactive during mealtime. The staff members smiled and greeted me throughout my visit. The menu selections are great, and staff members allow residents to amend the choices as needed.
This was a clean facility with lots of amenities. Books and other media are available, and activities were provided. Some of the activities include music, outdoor socials, and parties. There were a variety of choices available to accommodate a variety of personalities and interests. The facility is on the upper end of the price range, but mainly due to the extras. Residents here are well taken care of, and the extras in many case are optional unless the resident needs the service for physical and mental well-being. This is a very nice facility.
Located just north of Downtown, The Forum is located only minutes from many restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. The activity calendar is full every month. The building is beautiful on the exterior and the interior, and I have always seen the building clean and odor free. The staff members have never been very accommodating and friendly during my visits. The staff, along with nursing and the physicians works with each resident and their family to change medical care as needed.
What a lovely senior living community! The Gardens of Bellaire is clean and nicely decorated. The staff seemed attentive and engaged with the residents. I would definitely consider this facility if I had a loved one who need to be placed in a senior living community because of the caring, compassion, and general knowledge that the staff exhibited while I was on site.
Nice, nice, nice! Forum at the Woodlands is clean, modern, and nicely decorated senior community. The staff seemed attentive and engaged with the residents. I would definitely consider this facility if I had a loved one who need to be placed in a senior living community because of the caring, compassion, and general knowledge that the staff exhibited while I was on site.
The Forum at Memorial Woods has undergone management changes so the level of quality and care is not as evident. Some of the staff seemed disengaged and not really connected with the residents. While visiting I really couldn't see any direct leadership, it was like everyone was just managing themselves. Overall the facility is not updated, the food is moderate, the living space is adequate, and the staff seems preoccupied with their personal tasks instead of their professional ones.
A very upscale facility that offers a variety of care options. Beautifully appointed and well staffed with caring personnel. Amenities are well above average. Activities are scheduled for all levels of care. A fabulous place for seniors to live.
Totally upscale property providing almost every amenity to age in place as possible. The management and staff are very involved in the day to day activities. The food is great- I even took a client their for lunch. Cant say enough about this property.
