Arbor House feels very bright inside. This facility has plenty of natural light streaming in through many open windows as well as good lighting. I really liked the lighting in the dining area as there was a lot of light fixtures hanging from the ceiling and helping to make the place feel bright and welcoming. The staff here was very welcoming as well. The staff members I talked to were knowledgeable and appeared to be enjoying their jobs.
This facility is settled in a nice little neighborhood with a lot of space around the outside. The grounds are well manicured and very welcoming with a beautiful courtyard in the back of the grounds. They have two types of rooms residents can choose from depending on their need of space. Both types are very nice and spacious. The dining room is both comfortable and well lit, serving three meals a day that can be individualized for special dietary needs. If a resident isn't up to dining in the dining room then meals can be delivered to their rooms. Each room has a small kitchenette with a sink, mini refrigerator and microwave so that food items can be reheated or saved. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This facility is also pet friendly for those who have pets. They provide many types of activities and recreation for the residents to enjoy. There is also an outdoor gardening area and this facility also offers occasional outings for the residents.
Wildflower Place is a very charming facility. The outside of the facility looks very nice and well landscaped. There are plenty of seating areas around the building that look like very comfortable places to rest. The main entrance of the building was very nice, though the look of the facility seemed a be dated. This however, is more of a matter of personal taste I suppose.
The dining area was very big with tablecloths that gave the dining area a bit of a ‘restaurant’ feel to it. The food seemed alright, with a fair amount of variety in the menu. There also seems to be a good amount of activities for the residents at Wildflower Place, though I would personally have loved to see more. The individual rooms of the residents are quite nice. The rooms are very homey and comfortable, with the rooms I saw having an air conditioner under the window.
All in all, the rooms looked nice. The facility as a whole is very nice, with plenty of outdoor seating areas for residents. There are also recreational common rooms for residents as well. Though the facility is quite nice, at times, it feels a bit dated.Certain areas of the building have wallpaper which perhaps makes this ‘outdated’ appearance worse.
But while the building does appear a tad bit outdated, it certainly isn’t unbearable. I would love to see more updates to the building in the future, with perhaps new flooring for the main entrance, recreational areas and the rooms of the residents. As far as the walls, it’s nothing a fresh coat of paint can’t fix.Overall, Wildflower Place is a great facility with much to offer prospective residents.
Whether or not you find the buildings décor satisfactory is more so up to you and your personal tastes, though I found it to be a bit archaic in appearance. Despite this, I still believe Wildflower Place is excellent facility that simply needs to make some improvements. Wildflower Place doesn’t seem like such a bad place to stay, just a place that could use some TLC and updating.
Chisholm Place offers a cozy home-like feeling. This community is designed and decorated to remind their residents of home and not just a facility. Most of the staff members were welcoming, while some didn't even acknowledge me. This community is well staffed and offers variety in their menu and activity plans. Some of the residents were getting ready to leave for an outing and they were excited. Everything was clean and smelled really nice too!
Plum Creek is an awesome assisted living community, because they provide many amenities for their residents who would like to remain as social and activity as possible. The staff was kind and helpful in answering my questions while touring the community. I saw some of the residents socializing in the community lounge while others sat outside in the sitting area. Their menus and activities seem well planned and adequate for the community.
The Alpine House is tucked away but very close to some major roads in Longview. The ownership changed within the last year and the management is making changes for the better in all the Enlivant Communities. This property has always been a solid 4 star community but I think within the next year it will be brought up to a five star. Their is shopping and restaurants close by. The residents seem to always have someone coming to call BINGO or a singing group in. I have never been in there when they weren't doing something fun or about to start an activity or just finishing an activity. I would definitely recommend a tour, the [pricing is inline for the area.
Alpine House is an older facility but well maintained. It is located within good proximity of many restaurants and businesses. The grounds are very attractive. The inside could make some changes to make it feel more inviting. Food is ok and staff friendly. This assisted living usually has openings.
NOTE: This company is under new ownership, Enlivant. The staff at Mercer is a new team who are very experienced and care about the residents. They are making positive overall improvements to the property. The medical care onsite is adequate for the basic wellness for this resident population. If more advanced medical help is needed, downtown Dallas is not too far to the major medical areas. I did not try the food. The facility is conveniently located but tucked off of a main road so it is not noisy. The interior is free of damages, updated and odor free. I would recommend placing a loved one here and would enjoy the environment to go visit.
My mother is 92 and has been a resident for over 2 years. She is very happy with the facility and the nursing staff is very caring and competent. The facility is older but exceptional well taken care of and always very clean. The entire staff is helpful and friendly. My mother had been in a newer and larger facility and they do not compare to the care that is provided here.
This is a nice assisted living facility. The staff is caring and they do everything they can to make the residents feel comfortable and secure. The food is nourishing and of a good quality. The rooms are very clean and the facility overall is cheerful.
What a wonderful team they have in this community. Very experienced nurse.. Marketer very compassionate Administrator help full and knowledgable In every aspect. This might be an older facility but I give it 5 stars with employees Cleanliness and comport .
I have worked with this property in the past. Currently I am referring our Senior Services to their administration. The facility is well kept. The residents are happy. The staff and administration are very professional
