If you've not visited this campus, you need to do so. They practice a very interesting model of care here. No alarms, no med carts, no nurses station. The homes feel like homes.
I enjoy the open kitchen, the sprawling gardens (that have food the Residents actually get to eat), the fact there is no wake-up schedule. Residents are free to live their lives as they choose.
I'd say the only downside to this community is the fact they do not have a Medicaid contract. All seniors deserve the amenities they provide. I cannot wait for the entire industry of long-term care to switch to the real definition of resident centered care.
