Elder Care Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and services for seniors. Although we are a faith-based organization originally founded by the Sisters of Mercy back in 1872, we promote an environment of tolerance and spirituality, welcoming residents of all beliefs in our communities. Elder Care Alliance is proud to be managed by Life Care Services, Inc., which has been actively involved in planning, developing and managing retirement and assisted living communities across the United States for the past 40 years.

At AlmaVia, initially, there was a confusion about the appointment that was made, but they were very good about finding a replacement person to give us a tour, and he was excellent. He was one of the nursing people on staff, so he answered a lot of our questions. Activities seemed fine to me and included art classes, music appreciation classes, exercise, and social things. The rooms were very nice, clean, and spacious. He showed us many different layouts. I was looking for my mother.
AlmaVia of San Rafael is the only one I have found that has its own assigned parking. I have a car, so that’s one of the big options that I’d like to have. It’s very cozy, very clean, friendly, and smells good. The food is very good as is the dining room. My husband was in it, and his studio was beautiful and had a lot of art. The staff was excellent.
AlmaVia of San Rafael is only 10 years old, so it has a more modern, clean, and upgraded feel to it. I like it. They have movies, activities, bingo, and libraries. The rooms, physically, in square footage were smaller than where my husband is now, but it's not as expensive. It's nice and clean.
