Spring Meadows Naperville was a lovely place. My overall experience was very nice. It's impressive but expensive. The rooms and apartments were very adequate, nice, tidy, and seemed practically laid out. The dining room looked very nice. I thought it was very expensive for the square footage. The staff seemed friendly. It seemed very intense. I felt 15 years younger than the average resident there. It would have been very small for us.
My mom likes Independence Village. We chose it because we were impressed with the services that they could help provide. She likes the room that she was able to get. They have studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. My mom has a studio. Independence Village hasn’t really lived up to my mom’s expectations, but she has gone from not living in a facility to living in a facility. They haven’t always been giving all the services that they said they would. She doesn’t care for the food. It doesn’t sound like it’s very well balanced.
We chose Independence Village for a lot of aspects about it. We looked at different places, and this was the best one for us. The staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Our relative does not have any complaints about the food.
When I walked in Independence Village of Peoria, I felt at home, and we got my mom in right away. It's excellent. They have good friendly people, lots of amenities, a library, a salon, and home health nursing is actually in the building. They have some exercise activities and something for the families periodically, like on the weekend they'll have some type of picnic. They have a salon, but they also have a lady that goes into the room to do pedicures. I've had dinner there a couple of times, and it was really good.
My parents moved into Independence Village. It’s very nice, very clean, and has spacious rooms. The staff has been wonderful, very helpful, and I can call anytime. They help me figure stuff out. It is centrally located. The grounds are very pretty and kept up very well. They could improve on the food; that was the one complaint I heard from my parents.
Spring Meadows Libertyville was a nice lovely facility with lots of activities and lots of things to do. It was assisted, independent, and memory care. My mom could be under assisted living while my dad could be considered independent living, and they could be in the same room. I liked the idea of that. The people and staff were nice and friendly. I felt very comfortable and thought if my mom and dad went there, it'd be OK.
Spring Meadows was really nice, and of all the places I visited, I thought it was on the higher end. We dealt primarily with the person who showed us around, but she was very cordial and very nice. There's a set meal schedule with two or three different options. They had a library. We thought it was a very good place, but it's a little more expensive than some of the others. They had bingo and different events typical of other places. The thing that really appealed to me was that they have transportation and they'll drive you to the grocery store or to the mall, which is only a few minutes away, with brand-new movie theaters. If you're more independent, it'll work out better because they're mostly independent.
I didn’t like the room at Spring Meadows because the view was of a wall. It was a very clean, nice place, but it was a little bit too far for us to drive to. The staff was nice and pleasant. Everyone said hello and was very courteous.
Spring Meadows was fine. The rooms were OK and had kitchen areas where they could cook. The main thing is that it is a community with rooms where you can cook as well as having the food served downstairs. The dining room looked nice, too.
During each visit to Spring Meadows in Libertyville I have experienced a consistent level of professional courtesy and observed some outstanding care and service being provided to their residents. First of all, the facility is clean and comfortable. The residents enjoy an engaging, active lifestyle. Additionally, they have resources available should assisted services become necessary such as private duty home care. Taking into consideration the total service package and the variety of amenities provided, Spring Meadows is definitely one of the best senior living values in Lake County.
