Brookdale was clean, orderly, and the people were friendly and professional. The rooms were very nice, fresh, clean, and ready to move in. The dining facilities and everything were really nice, and they had a separate dining area for families. The staff who gave the tour was very efficient, very friendly, and very caring.
My dad went to Brookdale Las Vegas. It was OK. My dad didn't care for it too much and was dying when he was there. I don't think they're set up for a person who's dying. My dad loved the staff, helpers, and med techs. They were quite new, so I can't really say much about them. They're trying to fix the facility up a little bit. The room he was in was wonderful, private, and all cleaned up and remodeled a little bit. It was very nice. My dad liked some of the food, and some of it he didn't like. I liked the location because it was close to me. Sometimes my dad would get lost in there, but he was able to get around. They could improve the food and the upkeep of the place.
My husband’s grandfather was in Brookdale Cheyenne. It was very nice, very big, and very clean. The food was good, which was important to him. The room was pretty big. The staff was very nice and very helpful. We liked it. There were plenty of activities, but I knew he wouldn’t do them. That’s the only downfall.
Brookdale Northwest Reno is great. My mother is in the memory care section. I like the friendliness of the staff; everybody I speak to is very nice, really informative, and very positive. The menus are always good. She has a great, huge, bright room that has hardwood floors and all of her own furniture plus the furniture that they provide. It can hold two people, but they let her rent it independently. There is a Home Depot right next door and a gate to the community on the other side. The building is very nice, modern, and very clean. It is not nearby a hospital, although there are several hospitals in Reno. I will recommend it to everybody.
Brookdale Las Vegas was very well-organized, well taken care of, the interest of the patients, and the people there. It was just kind of older, and also the people there are kind of low-functioning so it wasn't a good fit.
It was alright. It was definitely older, and a little bit more standard.
I’m going to use Brookdale Cheyenne. They’re wonderful, and I have nothing negative to say about them. They were very patient and very nice. They have a lot of patients, and it’s very neat, very clean, looks immaculate, and really nice. The people were all caring and nice. In fact, I called Brookdale the other day and the lady at the desk remembered me and my friend. I’d definitely recommend them to anybody.
I thought Brookdale Las Vegas was very nice and well kept. However, I thought it was more senior care and not assisted living. The rooms were very nice. The residents were all women with maybe one or two men, and most of them were in wheelchairs. They had activities available.
Brookdale Northwest Reno is a beautiful place with different types of rooms. I saw the wonderful upstairs and downstairs dining areas. Mom needed someone to administer her insulin, but the state has regulations and this place does not have a license to do that. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, with different types of bathrooms. Not every room has the same setup, so it's not a cookie-cutter place. Some residents have cats. They had piano music playing while we were there, which was really nice. The whole place was well-organized with very caring touches to it. Management is really good, too. All of the people I met were really nice, even the patients. It was just so very nice to see the elderly being treated so well and having a nice life there. They all looked like they were very content.
