I visited Atria and saw a two-bedroom that I thought was an adequate size and OK. I liked the location, that they provide transportation service, and that it’s all in one building. It was very well maintained, and the people were extremely friendly and help you with everything, which I thought it was impressive. They had quite a bit of activities posted on the board and had a very nice dining area.
I like Atria Campana del Rio the best because of its location at River Road and near Campbell Avenue, which is near the center of Tucson and close to the University of Arizona which I attend for a lot of athletic events. I have three friends who are current members there and say that’s the best place they’ve ever been. There are plenty of great rooms. Everything is very clean. I’ve seen Trivial Pursuit, discussions, and trips for the people. Also, you can keep a car there, and I can take the dog with me. The best thing that I like about it is that I won’t be alone.
We chose Atria Bell Court Gardens. It had less of an apartment, high-rise type of feel and felt a little homier. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. It was a mansion built in the 1920s that they built apartment wings down the side, but they're not tall. You can see the mountains and the views. Everything was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. I tasted the food, and it was amazing. They had filet mignon. It's independent living, but they do have a home care agency on-site that you can hire to have nurses and physical therapists come in if needed.
The problem with Atria Bell Court was that I know people that are in and out of it. The people that run that place don’t understand but nice people. My sister never felt comfortable there, so she only stayed for a month. The place was very nice, and the dining room was beautiful. She had a nice and beautiful apartment, but she wasn’t happy.
We have been living at Atria Bell Court Gardens since December. It’s an old mansion with 160 rooms. There are two courtyards, one with the swimming pool for water aerobics. They also have a library and do exercises seven times a week. They don’t have assisted living, which is a good thing as the residents are alert and able. The food is superb, and the staff are like family. They are wonderful. Our apartment has a kitchen with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room, and nice huge deck that looks out onto the mountain.
Atria was nice, but their assisted living was a very small unit and very segregated. They only had about 14 rooms geared toward a person who could maintain a more active lifestyle. They had a lot of amenities. There would be additional price for the different levels of care. I really liked their front desk person who was very outgoing and friendly. They were a little on the professional side as I didn’t see the caregivers hugging the residents or laughing with them. It was a nice facility and clean. There wasn't anything negative, but it just wasn’t a good fit for Mom.
We visited Atria Valley Manor for my mom. I thought it was very nice. The room was nice and sufficient for what my mom would need. The staff was very helpful. They had a movie theater, bingo, and some musical nights. I liked this place a lot.
Great location and great employees. They always go an extra mile to help you with your needs. But than again, I wish they would have more caregivers and with a better training. It would be nice to have caregivers knowing more about a proper catheter care, but in general they are nice and this counts too.the place is well maintained , clean, with beautiful flower arrangements. The ‘hotel style’ package which includes all meals, laundry and daily maid service, there are no restrictions on visiting anytime of day or night, so that's a nice feature and very convenient when you have a job.Nice size rooms, with furniture or not, but their furniture is very beautiful so I encourage you to think twice if bringing your own furniture is worth the moving. Its a great food all around no matter what you are going to have, breakfast, lunch or dinner, with consideration to the food pyramid, well balanced meals, so I do encourage you to try it at least once. The only and the only thing I didn't liked was the prices. Starting at a base of $4000 a month can get very expensive when you add the care too. I would think this place is very worth the money for whom can afford. But just keep in mind that you can find sometimes a residential care home with same service and look for less.I will definitely recommend this place if you afford it.
I think Atria is a wonderful retirement community. I love how it is designed to look like a resort. I have personally ate their many occasions and love the food and the variety of options they have. I have personally met the main cook and love his style of cooking. The staff is always really friendly, although they are hard to get in touch with. Overall Atria is a great community.
I just love Atria Bell Court Gardens – the independent living facility is actually built in an older Italian- or Greek-styled mansion and the architecture is breathtaking – everything about the community from the gorgeous well-kept grounds to the relaxing and homelike environment, to the simplistic yet elegant décor leaves you speechless – I actually had to remind myself a couple times that this was a senior living community. The whole facility is a breath of fresh air in the happiness of the residents, the meticulous and exceptional care provided by the staff, and the active spirit and exciting chatter throughout the community.
Atria Bell Court Gardens is one of the best communities as far as resident volunteer opportunities, resident options and experiences, and the variety of activities, events, services, and amenities offered daily to the residents. Many residents participate in the volunteer opportunities that are available – it is wonderful that they have the option to volunteer as it keeps residents active, helps them feel independent, and a sense of contribution. They have a exclusive program that they started called, “Support Our Troops” where the residents regularly gather in support of our military and prepare care packages which are then sent out to the troops. I have not personally been to one of the meetings, but it is a big hit on campus among the staff and residents alike.
One of my favorite features - they have a little church area that is so cute – it is located off of the beautiful courtyard and I love that it is off to the side so it gives the residents a sense that they are “going” to church – and when they step out onto the gorgeous courtyard – well, it will feel like Sunday mornings are supposed to feel stepping out of church – seeing nothing in front of you but nature and beauty!
There is also a beautiful pool, outdoor kitchen/dining area, fire pit for heating up during those cold desert nights (or perhaps… s’mores?!), a dog park for resident’s pets, and covered sitting areas – all of these options make for the perfect way to enjoy Arizona spring days or summer evenings.
Atria Bell Court Gardens is a community you just have to see to believe – it is impossible to describe the community in a way that truly embodies all the excellence that is Atria Bell Court Gardens. All I can urge you to do is take a tour. You won’t be disappointed!
If you want a gorgeous facility, then you’ve found it at Atria Valley Manor. From the moment you walk up to the front entrance, you are surrounded by breathtaking landscape, a cozy community, and a family-like atmosphere. Valley Manor offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Respite Care. The staff members are well trained and knowledgeable in working with the elderly. They are patient, respectful, encouraging, accommodating, and all of the other amazing qualities that make up and exceptional senior living care team. They place a lot of energy into helping prepare residents and families for the transition into senior living, offering resources, programs, counseling, etc. to make the move to senior living as easy as possible. I would trust them with my own loved ones any day of the week without hesitation or concern and that coming from me (if you really knew me!) speaks volumes about just how awesome Valley Manor is. A tour is well worth your time, you will be happy you took the time.
Atria Campana Del Rio is an amazing senior living community located in a gorgeous Tucson area which is surrounded by endless mountains and beautiful landscape, resulting in breathtaking views. The community is rich in Spanish-style architecture and décor. The facility is simply gorgeous – pulling up, you’d think you were going to a resort or spa. It is that beautiful. Atria Campana Del Rio specializes in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Short-Term Care (such as post-op care, rehabilitation, etc.
The staff members are wonderful with the residents, always going out of their way to ensure each resident is receiving individualized care.
This community also has one of the best activity calendars I have ever seen in senior living. There is always something to do and the staff members are always encouraging the residents to participate in the activities and to keep active.
