Seniors with memory impairments such as dementia and Alzheimer's require special attention and care by compassionate caregivers. Unlike independent living communities where residents are fully independent and do not require assistance with daily activities, Illinois memory care communities offer around-the-clock services and care. Seniors with memory loss are provided with individually tailored services that can include assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, medication management, mobility and other activities of daily living. Aside from help with these types of tasks, residents are also provided the opportunity to participate in events and activities that help them maintain their current skills and memories, as well as make new ones.
