Orange County Transportation
The Orange County Transit Authority makes it easy for seniors to use public transit for errands and getting around the cities and communities of Orange County. With discounted fares and curb-to-curb ACCESS service for disabled seniors who are unable to use the regular bus, residents of assisted living in Orange County have many transportation options. The county also sponsors the Senior Mobility Program through which participating cities offer additional services to meet the transportation needs of their city’s seniors.
In addition, the County’s Senior Medical Transportation Programs and local community transportation programs offer seniors a way to get to their non-emergency medical appointments such doctor and dentist visits, therapy, testing, x-rays and prescription pick-up. A small fee is charged for this door-to-door service.
