Point Defiance Village is a nice facility housed on several acres and the grounds are beautiful. The interior is clean and furnishings on the newer side. Everything was bright and well lite very cheery you would say. They offer I believe five styles of apartments they are nice but are on the small side, they don’t have full kitchens instead kitchenettes, for those wanting to cook their own meals this is a downside.

I like the dining set-up meals are served restaurant style with a full menu to choose from, you are served your meals by a waiter. The menu has a good selection of food and it does change often. They offer special menu for those on a restricted diet. I was invited to come eat and I had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and salad it was very good. The dessert was chocolate cream pie and ice-cream made in house.

There have a fitness center and a big TV room It looked more like a place to gather and chat when I was there very nice to see. They have a full suite of activities and bring in outside entertainment.

Here is where I felt they really truly care and have the thought of their residents in mind at all times they have some rooms there available too, so if you want to go and visit your loved one, you can get a roll away bed in the apartment or they rent out a full apartment at a very affordable rate.

They provide transportation to local stores, banks and appointments via their own transportation system.
I was very impressed with the cost that they had at Point Defiance Village it is very reasonable for what you are getting. The staff was great they really are attentive to the needs of their residents and I heard each of them call the residents by name.

I have visited many senior facilities and there are pros and cons to each, this facility has top-notch staff who genuinely care for their residents the level of care you receive is comforting. The activities are abundant the grounds are beautiful. Food is great, but what I really liked was the real sense that this was a community and for that I recommend this place.

I am quite impressed with this independent community. Seniors can choose from apartments in the main building, or stand-alone cottages.

Seniors who grew up in the Pacific Northwest will appreciate the beauty of the 20+ acres they have access to—meaning that nature is always just a few steps away. There are even 3 miles of paved walkways throughout the grounds to make for safer outdoor activity.

When residents don’t feel like cooking, the dining options are restaurant-worthy.Active seniors can continue to head out-and-about solo, or they can participate in the many daily group activities. The amenities are also quite good, and include pool tables and a swimming pool.

As health declines a new home will be required as assistance is minimal.
