    Parklane West San Antonio is a wonderful community, in terms of quality of staff, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction. Whenever I visit the residents seem content, the community is clean, and the staff is always there willing to assist. Parklane West has improved since past visits I made here. The quality of staff has improved thus the quality of care has improved!

State Records for Parklane West

Licensing types and standards for senior communities vary between states. In some states license types are tied to the level of care provided and the number of residents served. Licensed communities located in Texas are subject to inspections. The results of these visits are summarized in reports which outline the deficiencies found (if any) and the plan of correction the community must take to remedy the deficiency. Reports are retained by both the state agency and the community for a required length of time. Where possible, we are sharing these publicly available reports to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions when selecting a community.

Assisted living facilities are subject to inspections by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to determine the facility’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations as per §92.81. These visits may be for reasons of licensure renewal, inspection of care or complaint visits. Visits may be classified as either a health visit or life safety code visit.

If a deficiency (violation) is noted during the visit, the DADS evaluator will detail the facility’s violation of the corresponding regulation, and the steps the community must take to correct the deficiency. Administrative penalties may be assessed for reasons that include if a license holder violates Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 247, refuses to allow a DADS representative to inspect records or the facility or fails to notify DADS of a change of ownership before its effective date.
