As Bakersfield’s only Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Rosewood has been providing high-quality residential living, assisted living and skilled nursing care to area seniors since 1974. Named “The Best of the Best” by the Bakersfield Californian, we are the only community in Kern County that is accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission.   

Rosewood is owned and managed by ABHOW, who has been serving seniors since 1949, seeking to enhance their well-being and security through housing, healthcare and supportive services.

Our luxurious apartments are available in studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts with newly renovated garden apartments available. Garden apartments feature luxury upgrades, such as granite counter tops and new appliances, with ample room for an office, art studio or den.

Available Services

Older adults in need of personal care and additional support may choose to reside at The Lodge at Rosewood, where our compassionate staff provide professional assistance with activities of daily living, housekeeping, linen laundering, transportation and more.

Residents in need of intensive medical care reside at The Village, our skilled nursing community. Our low staff-to-resident ratio allows us to provide attentive and personalized care to all of our residents while doing everything we can to make them feel at home.
