Maple Downs appeared to be very pleasant. I didn’t meet with any of the residents as they were at a meal but the people there seemed to be comfortable and happy. The food and the ambience were good. I got a tour of the various strength of the place, and they seemed to be very good and satisfactory. Transportation is covered, too.
The Hearth on James was very pleasant. There seemed to be a lot of old people there. The unit I saw was nice but smaller than what I would want. The dining area was decent. They had a salon and a library. They gave me a lot of information, so that was certainly good.
Maple Downs was very nice but on the expensive side depending on the location of the room, so that makes it a little difficult. There were a lot of flowers. I liked the location better than being in the city, so that part was very nice. They had a lot of activities, like exercises classes, and a nice dining room, library, and chapel.
Maple Downs is beautiful, welcoming, and nice. The people who work there are extremely friendly and nice. The people who live there are also friendly. The food is excellent. There’s a pond, fountain, and chairs to sit around outside where the surroundings are well kept and maintained. There are things to do all day...
The Hearth at Greenpoint is a great place. The staff and the management are super. My dad stayed there for a month and liked the food. The staff was more than adequate. The management helped in every possible way. It was a really good experience.
