We were trying to put my mom at Brighton Gardens of West Orange, but she didn’t want to go. They were attentive to our needs and concerns, and were very quick in answering our questions. They were also very helpful in handling her while she was in distress. It was a lovely place with a beautiful restaurant and an area where people can walk and have activities.
The facility of Sunrise of Belmont is a 5+ rating. It's like a hotel and is absolutely beautiful. The staff seems real good, and the residents seem to be more able-bodied. When I become older, that's the place I'd like to go. The dining area is beautiful, like a hotel restaurant. The sales people we talked to were very nice and positive. I have no reason to think it's not a fine place.
Sunrise of Frederick’s location was very convenient. We are very familiar with Frederick since my daughter was there. It’s very neat and clean. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We liked the floor plans, and the price was fairly reasonable.
Sunrise of Wayne was beautiful, and the people were excellent. It would have been my third choice because there were sections for mostly just assisted living, so the people were retained in their special spots. It’s fancier and had fancy people. I didn’t see too much activity, but they did have a board saying what’s going on.
The staff of Brighton Gardens was very caring and knowledgeable, and obviously involved with the patients. The facility itself wasn’t quite beautiful, but it was very pleasant. It was under construction in some areas, so it was hard to tell exactly how the whole thing would look. The rooms being offered were varied enough so you had few choices, and it sounded like they had an excellent array of activities for people to get involved in. I got the sense of very caring staff and very happy residents. It seemed they had a wide variety of activities from movies to people coming in to do lectures and play music, and so it looked like it would engage people who were capable of paying attention and being engaged; the residents would be involved in the activities as well as being an audience.
I visited Sunrise of Studio City for consideration for my mom. The staff was very good and professional. I didn't have any problems at all. We have considered them for quite a long time after our experience with another family member who lived at Sunrise before. I know the quality of their care but felt that the physical environment would be overwhelming for my mom. The living quarters were a bit nicer than what she had at the other facility, and the entire facility was more well kept and fancier. I would say it’s like a hotel.
We visited Brighton Gardens for my friend. It was very nicely in an urban setting near a metro, a restaurant, and a coffee shop you could walk to. Rooms were all comparable, but Brighton Gardens was more reasonably priced than the other community I saw. Their dining area was very nice, too.
The staff at Brighton Gardens seemed good, but it seemed like a cluttered and a tight space with no outdoor space, and one of the main things we were looking for was outdoor space. It had a very small dining room for the memory care patients. There were small, individual rooms placed very close together.
My cousin has been receving very good care at Sunrise at Fountain Square for about 3 ½ years now and is very comfortable. The meals are really good. He is a big eater, so they always give him double portions if he wants. They have a good variety of food on the menu. They have an on-call doctor who comes periodically. You can also have your own doctor visit. They have registered nurses and a lot of caregivers who really care. The place is very clean and well maintained.
Brighton Gardens was great and felt like a home. I would have chosen them, but the fee was too high. It provided what I need but not what I needed for my husband. If I had the money, that’s where I would go.
I found The Carlisle to be a very welcoming and gracious place that my dad would be very comfortable in. I liked it a lot. From what I observed while sitting in the lobby, the staff was really close to the people who live there. They are very kind, patient, and attentive. The living quarters were pretty good. The dining room was very beautiful and elegant. The common areas seemed well maintained and seemed like the places we would want to be.

With a great location, nestled just off Scottsdale Road, this facility has very mature, and well-manicured exterior desert, landscaping, and a Southwestern Hospitality “warm welcome” feel to it. This 3 story modern structure has a great front porch with six-plus cushioned rocking chairs, as well as benches skillfully placed around the building to encourage outdoor seating, weather permitting. Potted plants hang throughout the exterior, and the parking area was very clean and well maintained. Going into the main entrance, the dining area was on the left, and the ambiance coming in was also very welcoming. The porte-cochère created an apartment-type feel, and along with the covered parking available, contributed to the effect of a well-done, mid to upscale facility.
Considerate and kind staff members who are always looking out for the residents. Clean and well maintained accommodations. Facility offers three meals in a day and includes periodic restaurant outings. Great size rooms and living spaces, the dining options are endless and very well suited for those who prefer eating in. The management team, however, can be difficult to get a hold of and sometimes are very busy.
A beautiful community, good staff, great food. The apartments are a little on the small side, but there is a vast amount of common areas to make up for it. The community is very nice, well decorated, although its size makes some long walks. They able to care for almost all levels. The small memory care area upstairs is fine, but not for those who may have behaviors more than normal and it seems sort of forgotten up there. The dining and activity teams are above average and the residents always look cheerful and well cared for. This does not come cheap, but is worth every last penny
Sunrise of Oakland Hills has a total of 86 apartments, 20 of which are devoted to memory care. They offer all-day dining, have a private dining room for family events, as well as a 24 hour bistro for light snacks. Each apartment is equipped with a sink and small refrigerator, but residents need to provide their own microwave. There is a daily happy hour, as well as the option for beer or wine at lunch and dinner, as long as a resident's doctor has okayed them. They have an on-site salon that also offers massages. They also have visiting podiatry and acupuncture services when requested. They are able to administer insulin and catheters as they have 5 on-site nurses. They also have 3 hydro tubs, which can bring great pain relief and general relaxation. Lastly, they offer hospice care, which is great, should a resident find that they are nearing end of life care, they don't need to be moved from a warm, friendly environment.
When I visited Sunrise of Chesterfield I was delighted with the beautiful outside gardening view. It came equipped with a beautiful patio area where you can enjoy the sound of nature. They offer standard private units for rent. But I must say they come with carpet, well lit, and you get your own thermostat to control temperature to preference. The bathrooms are very roomy. They have showers that can be accessed with wheelchairs. They offer meals where you eat with all occupants. But I must say, they have a bitrso where every meal is cooked to order. And they offer many activities to keep active. You can enjoy some tennis on the private court, or indulge in arts and crafts. And when you need to relax after the busy day. They make it easy with their beautiful fireplaces located through out.
Beautiful, homelike environment for residents who want a facility that feels accommodating, warm, and engaging. Fresh and tasty menu options offering residents a great eating experience. Large dining room and very professional staff members. Multiple activities including games, bingo, movie outings and arts. Most residents, however, were not observed taking part in the activity.
The only program offered in this community is the assisted living facility. Facility has a beautiful courtyard with chairs and offers residents engaging games. Great variety menu options. Staff members are sometimes inattentive to residents and often times provide mediocre services, but are mostly friendly and accommodating. Program offers a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts and bingo.
I had the privilege off visiting Sunrise of Clayton and I must say it gives off a look of the elegance in the 1800's. I was impressed with carpeting through out the building. And was surprised they even have rental units for couples. They even have a beautiful garden that they grew on their own. And you'll even be enjoying some great vegetables with your meals. Don't worry they have exercise class and other activities to keep you moving.
This Sunrise community is assisted living and memory care. The families at this community are so involve they take part in several activites throughout the day. Family members also stay for meals and take part in the quality of life for the residents. The meals are considered tasty according to the residents and family members. The staff are very inviting and open to answering questions in regards to services the community offer as well as available resources.
Sunrise of Dublin is a wonderful community that offers assisted living and memory care. This community put the residents first by working to meet the individual needs of every resident. This community is very accommodating in regards to care, personal interest, and even dinning options. This sunrise consistently ask the residents to provide the staff with feedback as well as the families. The staff are not only friendly and inviting but focused activities that are stimulating and appropriate for assisted living and memory care residents. Outside resources are also available to help support families and residents with additional services and options. The apartments are updated, clean and spacious. Overall this community is a great fit for assisted living and memory care residents.
Sunrise of Worthington is a very nice community with attractive landscaping and walking paths. This community is great for visiting love ones and even having private meals. Sunrise of Worthington is very clean and well maintained inside and outside. The community is for assisted living and memory care residents. The staff appear to be professional but very protective of their residents. The care givers seem to have a solid relationship with the residents and are familiar with the individual needs of residents. The food is very tasty and the menu offered a variety of options. Family members frequently visit and take part in activities with the residents. The activities are good and include exercise and keep the residents entertained. The community also work to keep the memory care residents active and stimulated.
This cozy community is located in a quiet area with a variety of exciting ongoing activities that are talked about among the residents. Sunrise offes assisted living and memory care and the memory care appear to have endless activities. The activities are stimulating and are designed to meet the needs of both assisted living and memory care residents. The dinning room is open and seperated from assisted living and memory care. The staff are professional and focused on creating activities and ideas to keep the residents fulfilled. Outside resources are also available to assisted families and residents with support. This building is clean free from odor and well maintained.
Sunrise of Danville is a smaller, more intimate community with a total of 68 units, 13 of which are devoted to double shared memory care apartments. They are very pet friendly, and residents bring their own furnishings, to help extend a feeling of home to them. They have daily exercise classes, as well as a an on-site, 7 day a week salon for hair and nail care. They offer on-site religious services each Sunday, both Catholic and non-denominational. One of the things that stood out to this reviewer is that they have a "family" kitchen where residents and their families can prepare a favorite recipe hand on with their loved ones, which makes for a great family experience. Each assisted living unit is either a studio or one bedroom, and the rooms are all good sized, and each one has a small fridge, microwave and sink in the kitchenette. There are also hydro tubs in both the assisted and memory care sides and they have an emphasis on water and aroma therapy for their residents. The only drawbacks I saw were that parking is extremely limited and you have to park about a block away, and this is the only community I have visited where the residents do not have a patio or balcony. Other than that, everything was great, the staff in particular was awesome!
