Brookdale Dunwoody is a beautiful building, it is a pillar in the Dunwoody community and overall a stable community. The exterior of the community is older but well maintained, the interior is clean and of modern decor. The activities were lively at the time of my visit and the residents appeared to be engaged. Brookdale has an excellent model for care oversight and are able to provide care to various levels and acuity based on the state regulations. This is a very good senior living option for individuals seeking senior living in the Dunwoody area.
Brookdale South Lee Buford was once an Emeritus community, this community is settled within a residential community and although the structure exterior and interior are dated the community has a level of charm to it. I think what really emphasis the charm are the residents and the staff. I was at this community for a training event and the staff went far and beyond hospitality. They made sure our needs were met and we were comfortable during the training. While on break I was able to engage with the residents and they were just as kind and welcoming. The food was delicious southern cuisine, you couldn't ask for better in a senior living community. I would certainly refer this community to anyone seeking senior living options in this area.
I have always enjoyed visiting this community. Structurally this community is beautiful with welcoming decor on the exterior and interior of the property. The staff at the community are all very friendly with lots of energy which is awesome to see as they were interacting with their residents, I did not witness an actually planned activity and I was unable to view their activity calendar to see the activity selections but I am sure as a Brookdale Community they activities are wonderful. I would certainly recommend this community for those seeking senior living options in this area.
Brookdale Sweetwater Creek is an older community and a part of the communities that were acquired by Brookdale from Emeritus. This community is somewhat difficult to locate and sits in a unique setting off the main road. The community's exterior and interior decor is very dated but moderately clean. The food at this community was mediocre at best unfortunately. The residents were clean and the head nurse at the time of my visit was very involved in care matters but very stressed and overwhelmed which could possibly be reflected in care and customer service. Because there are not many communities in this exact area, this community is an option but would require heavy family involvement to ensure care is truly being provided at an optimal level.
I visited this facility and it took a while for someone to assist me. I was provided a tour and noted that the rooms are a bit smaller than other communities I've visited. The residents appeared very active and seem to enjoy the activities. I visited after lunch so I was unable to taste the food. The facility appeared clean and smelled nice and grounds were neatly manicured.
If you know anything about the Vinings area, you know how nice it is. Well this community is no different. The staff and amenities are top notch; however I found the community representative to be a little over zealous...I guess that's her job. The grounds and the facility were very clean. I did taste the food via an event I attended there and overall, I thought it was tasty. During the tour, it appeared that the residents were pleased and everyone spoke to us as though they had been knowing us for years. I was impressed!
Brookdale Neese Road was once Terrace at Woodstock an Emeritus community. This community is all on one level and provides assisted living and a secure memory care neighborhood with cognition appropriate activities. Care staffing changes often, the community has a head nurse and the Executive Director is a nurse as well, she used to the the Wellness Director for that community prior to accepting the role of Executive Director. Many families have voiced concerns about lack of oversight by the care staff and the care staff being disorganized especially with new medication orders. This community is an option for those looking for a senior living community in Woodstock but I would suggest extensive family oversight of resident care.
Brookdale Woodstock was previously Woodstock Estates an Emeritus building prior to the Emeritus/Brookdale merger. This community resembles a southern plantation and has old southern charm with attractive while pillars and rocking chairs at the front of the building. The community has multiple floors and could use remodeling as the decor is very dated. The care in the community is top notch, the head nurse Verncia Curry is very professional, available and attentive to her residents and families. The Executive Director Joyce Greene provides excellent support to her families and residents in the community. Care concerns are addressed immediately by the leadership team. The food and activities are nice but could slightly improve in variety and presentation, especially the food. The community although older is very clean and lacks any odor. I would certainly recommend this community to family and friends.
They have customized Service Care Plan that are just right for each and every resident. They ensure that you pay for what your are getting. When you walk in the community you feel a sense of being a part of a family. They provide a great amount of activities and special events to keep the residents engaged and they also have clubs too. The staff are sweet and the residents are too.
This community has in-house physical therapy. They have two LPNs for their wellness care that are VERY active and involved in patient care. Also, it is a clean building and it is in an excellent location.
This community has longevity. Their retention for their staff is great. They have awesome food services and they give back to the community through sponsoring different events throughout their community. They have done fundraisers for different foundations regarding senior care/heath.
This large community, consisting of Independent and Assisted apartments and on-the-property duplexes,is one of the best located in north metro Atlanta. The main building houses the offices of staff, meal preparation and dining area, and activity space. The property is a great example of "aging in place" because it offers supportive help to residents as they may require it.
The property has had consistent ownership and management for many years, an important consideration for aging folks and their families.
The Hallmark is a beautiful independent living community next to upscale shopping and dining. It now also has an assisted living area to be even more responsive to residents' needs. The elegant surroundings provide a backdrop for the many activities that residents participate in.
