Description of Marjorie McCune Memorial Center
Founded in 1976, the Marjorie McCune Community is an adult care home that supports both independent and assisted living. The housing is smoke-free, but indoor and outdoor smoking areas are available. Pets are welcome. The community supports the visually impaired by providing Braille books and an audio library.
The center's assisted living services give residents access to an on-call doctor and on-staff nursing care. Visiting podiatrists, physical and speech therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists provide additional care. Electronic medication administration recording is also available. Staff members provide assistance with transferring, dressing and bathing, among other activities.
The center's accommodations consist of private and semiprivate rooms. Each room has built-in drawers and cabinets as well as a private bath. Other features of the community include a library, chapel, walking trail, gazebo and gardens. Additionally, residents can enjoy the convenience of laundry, transportation, meal and housekeeping services.
