I visited this facility
Oakmont of Whittier is lovely, clean, and a very nice place to live. It's expensive and relatively new. The hallways were wide and light. There are a lot of nice places to sit and eat and walk around. The gardens were very nice and the open areas were very inviting. Everything seemed high-end. The people looked very happy. The menu in the restaurant looked nice. There isn't a lot of parking though, but I'd live there if I had the money.

I visited this facility
Oakmont was one of these places that are very nice but very expensive. The food was excellent, everything was a step above and it is brand-new. It's really nice. The activities are a level above compared to my mother's current community. The rooms were not quite the size of where my mom is currently at. There were larger rooms but the bathrooms don't seem roomy enough for wheelchairs. How they laid out their floor-plan doesn't seem practical. But I would recommend this place.

I visited this facility
Oakmont of Whittier called me and they told me they had a room for $6,000, and I think that's really expensive for that place. It's small, and doesn't really have a lot to offer, so I don't think it's worth it. The rooms they showed me looked good. They were all right. It looks just like its sister community that I've also visited. It has the same colors, but it's just really small. They're in the middle and don't have a garden or courtyard to walk around in, but it's fine because it doesn't have that many people or that many rooms.
